1st Anniversary

That's us ... one year after the big day! On Sunday, August 24, 2008 we celebrated our 1st anniversary with a lovely dinner at The Macaroni Grill and a luxurious evening at Cinetopia, a living room theater with seat-side service. Unfortunately tickets are steep, $15 for movie tickets, but it was well worth it! We chose to see "The Dark Knight" since it is a long movie and we had paid so much for our cushy seats, footstools, and yummy treats. This past year my parents sent us $25 every month on the 24th to celebrate our month anniversary. My mom set up rules of how we had to spend the money, no bills just date night money. We usually chose to go out for appetizers and drinks or dinner. It was such a nice treat and gave us specific time, with no money worries, to spend together celebrating how far we had come as a couple. This year my parents decided to send us movie gift certificates every month. YEAH! I don't think it will be tickets to Cinetopia, but at least we'll get a chance to check out the upcoming flicks. I think I am going to do a little review every month after we go ... let us know if you have any recommendations for upcoming films! Back to the anniversary, Dominic got me the sweetest present. A sterling silver purse mirror from Red Envelope which he engraved with a message. He is so thoughtful, THE BEST HUSBAND EVER (and not just because he gets me great presents)!
